School" Announcements
When there is a possibility
that group school sessions may be canceled because of snow, stormy or
inclement weather, parents are instructed to listen to the following
radio and TV stations for such announcements:
If it is announced that
Waltham Public Schools has canceled classes, Waltham Early
Intervention will probably cancel groups, but call the office
to find out if groups are being held for the morning or afternoon
sessions.

Children are asked NOT to
come to group classes if any
of the following are noted. Also please call if not attending
group.
- Fever of 100 degrees or
above (orally)
or 101 degrees rectally
- Nausea or
Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Frequent coughing and
sneezing
- Sore throat, acute cold
symptoms
- Red, Runny
eyes
- Swollen
Glands
- Suspected impetigo or
lice
- Any other symptoms which
are suggestive of acute illness (sudden fatigue or excessive
irritability accompanying a temperature)

Lyrics
Many of these songs and rhymes are
sung at group sessions and home visits. Waltham Library also uses
some of these in their storytimes for children. Others are just for
general reference.
